Download the launcher and press Play. That is the whole setup. The game downloads, a private server starts on your PC, and you are in Ramsgate. No codes, no account, no money, nothing to configure.
What you get
No license, no account to buy, no storefront. The launcher is free and open source, and it stays that way.
Host a hunt for your friends or open it to everyone. Up to four slayers per hunt, through our US and EU relays.
Built-in voice with push to talk. It starts when you host or join, so nobody has to set up a separate call.
One name and a four-digit tag. See who is online, who is hosting, and join their game with a click.
Every era
Pick the Dauntless you remember and press Download. The launcher fetches that build, keeps a separate install and save for it, and every one of them works both solo on your PC and online with friends.
The Reforged era: the Slayer's Path, the Hunting Grounds, and the most complete port so far.
The middle years, with the arsenal and the Trials the way most players met them.
The last build before Awakening, including a bow that never shipped.
Awakening, the final release. Ramsgate loads; the hunts are still being brought back.
One character
There is no offline character and online character. There is one. Grind solo tonight, join a friend's hunt tomorrow, and everything you earned comes home with you. Play and progress both ways. You never need two saves.
The launcher sends your character to the host when you join and brings it back when you leave, with a backup kept on your side every time. Autosaves run every few minutes while you play.
The launcher
Pick a version and the launcher downloads it. From then on it is three buttons: Play solo, Play online, Host with friends. The Friends panel, voice, seasons, game rules and mods live beside it.
Play soloYour own server, on your own PC. No internet needed after setup.
Play onlineFinds a public game on your version, nearest relay first. If nobody is hosting, you become the host.
Host with friendsInvite from the Friends panel, or tick Allow randoms to let anyone in. Closing a game gives guests a 60 second warning and saves them home.
Online
Add by name or name#1234See who is in the launcher, who is hosting, and join them in one click.
Push to talk, built inJoins automatically in friends-only games. Public games wait for you to opt in, so no strangers by surprise.
No port forwardingGames go through our relays, so you never open your router. 400 game slots per region.
In-game text chatTalk in Ramsgate and on the hunt, same as it used to be.
